Näkki is a collection of works that I wrote between late 2019 and early 2022. I don't view this as a 'release', as much as I view it as an emotional weight being lifted. originally, all of these songs were completely scrapped and I was never going to touch them again. however, I have had a change of heart and compiled them into a compilation instead. this is a collection of songs that ultimately would have wound up sitting on a hard drive somewhere until it failed and I ultimately lost them.

the Näkki are water spirits of Finnish folklore who falsely appear trustworthy before revealing their truly horrific nature. they lurk in deep and murky bodies of water, luring trusting and careless humans to them before drowning them. there are several legends that state the Näkki emerge from the waters they inhabit on Midsummer's night to join in the dancing and lure the unsuspecting, joy-filled innocents.
